Why family therapy? Because it deals with family pain.

Virginia Satir

Is your family struggling with communicating together? Are you questioning who is running the show? Do you find yourself wondering how it got this bad? You are not alone.
Family dynamics can be some of the most painful struggles we face. Parents are exhausted, struggling to communication around discipline. Children are overwhelmed and overstimulated, struggling to regulate themselves. It is just a melting pot of chaos. And oftentimes, we struggle with finding the light at the end of the tunnel.

You can find restoration and healing.

By working together with you and your children, we can build on your strengths as a family to find creative solutions. We want to further our understanding about specific family patterns that continue the whirlwind of chaos, and then learn new tools or approaches to better navigate these challenges.
Prior to my clinical experience, I also worked with children with autism, as well as families in foster care and adoption. Learning healthy ways to approach behavioral concerns and to strengthen family bonds has been important to most of my work as a professional. Through my services, we will improve the compassion and mutual respect between family members, thus healing the pain and setting your family up for long-term success.
Family sessions are 50-90 minutes in length and occur once every week or two weeks. Family sessions cost $150 per session. The total number of sessions will depend on your goals and treatment needs.

I offer a free 20-minute consultation for those interested in counseling services. It will give you a chance to describe your particular issue, ask any questions about my experience, and to come to a decision about whether I am the right fit for you.
